Jbel Saghro locally also known as Adrar N Saghro, is a part of the Anti Atlas mountains, with over 100km in length and approximately 60km wide, Rocky and aride terrain With a highest peak of 2712m alt known as Amalou N Mansour. Home to one of the biggest Amazigh Berber tribes in the history of Morocco known as Ait Atta, this last who are still exercising their annual nomad transhumance.

Hiking in Jbel Saghro Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival ( Marrakech or Casablanca)
Our trek in Jebel Saghro starts from Marrakech city. Our Driver will pick you up at Menara airport or Mohamed V Casablanca
Overnight in an authentic Riad in the Medina of Marrakech.

Day 2: Drive from Marrakech to Tagdilt village via the High Atlas Mountains
After breakfast in the Riad in Marrakech, we drive over the Tichka Pass 2260m crossing High Atlas Mountains. We will pass through lots of Berber villages. We will pass through the small cities of Ouarzazate, Skoura; Klaa El Mgouna where we will stop for lunch. We continue to Tagdilt village where we will stop to spend the night in the Berber guesthouse and where we will meet our team or multeers.

Day 3: Hike from Tagdilt to Almou Nourg
After breakfast, we will start our Hike on the plateau of Tagand then we will start to climb up to Azarzim Pass and have our lunch just before we reach the pass. Then we will go over the pass where we will stop to enjoy the amazing view. We continue until we reach our camp at Almou N’Ouarg.

Day 4: Hiking from Almou Nourg to Igli
Today we will hike to the summit of Kouaouch 2712 which is the highest peak in Jbel Saghro. We will make a break at the top to bask in our accomplishment with a snack and take a few pictures of the breathtaking scenery. We go down to Tassigdelt where our cook will be ready to serve us lunch. Continue our hike to to the village of Igli where we will spend the night camping near the little valley with almond orchards.
During the night we are all family, here you can share the best moments with your guide and with your muleteers. We share stories and traditional music around the camping fire.

Day 5: Trekking from Igli to Bab N’Ali
After breakfast in the little valley of Igli, we will walk following the Afourer River. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with local Berber people who exercise small and traditional agriculture. We will continue down the valley to a scenic place with rock pinnacles called Bab N’Ali where we will have lunch. In the afternoon our guide will take you to explore a little waterfall and then come back to your campsite at Bab N’ Ali.

Day 6: Hike from Bab N’ail to Ighazzoun Valley
After our amazing night at Bab N’ Ali, we will follow the river down the valley until we reach Irrezzoun N’ Imlas where we will stop for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we will continue to Ighezzoun Valley, where will camp just near the field of Almonds, figs and palm trees, our guide will give you a nice walk around the fields where you are also welcome to have a camp of tea with a local family here in the valley.

Day 7: Hike from Irrazzoun to Handour village – Drive to Nkob village
This is our last day of Eco-friendly Morocco adventure in Jbel Saghro. After breakfast at Irrezzoun Valley, we walk through Berber villages and little green fields until we reach Handour village where we will have lunch. By the afternoon we say goodbye to our team and drive for 40 minutes to Nkob village, You will be able to relax in the Kasbah/hotel, take a shower, and wash your clothes before our guide takes you on a walk around the Kasbahs of the village.
Back to the hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Drive from Nkob Village to Marrakech
Everything comes to an end same as our hikking in Jbel Saghro. But we still have things to explore on our way to Marrakech as we will cross the valley of Draa with over 200km of date palms where we will stop for some pictures. Enjoy the visit of Ksar Ait Ben Haddou with your guide. Cross the High Atlas mountains to Marrakech by the ear of the day.
