Day 1: Marrakech Arrival
Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our knowledgeable guide. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity for a guided tour of the vibrant Marrakech Medina before retiring for the night in a traditional Riad.
Day 2: Marrakech – Tililitin
Our High Atlas Nomad journey start with a scenic drive, traversing the majestic Tizi N Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and quaint villages. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing to the enchanting Dades Valley, where you’ll meet your nomadic family and camp under the stars, setting the stage for your upcoming adventure.
Day 3: Tililitin – Imjgaren
Awaken to the harmonious sounds of grazing goats as you prepare for a day of trekking alongside your nomadic companions. After breakfast and loading up the mules and camel, commence your hike through rugged terrain, immersing yourself in the nomadic way of life. Spend the night camping beneath the twinkling desert sky. Day 4: Imjgaren – Tizi N Toudat – Taghighacht
Embark on a challenging transhumance, trekking with nomads through the Timergal Plateau and traversing the rugged terrain for 4-5 hours. Follow the dry riverbed of Taghighacht before setting up camp amidst the Tawalt trees, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Choose to accompany either the goats or the mules, further enhancing your experience with the nomadic lifestyle.
Day 5: Taghighacht – Bouisdrim
After a hearty breakfast with your nomadic hosts, continue your trek through picturesque landscapes, crossing the Mjdeg River and assisting the goats along the way. Camp for the night in Bouisdrim after a fulfilling day of exploration.
Day 6: Bouisdrim to Tamgwmaght
As the goats and mules take divergent paths today, choose your route for a unique adventure. Trek for 5-6 hours through challenging terrain, experiencing the rugged beauty of the High Atlas Mountains.
Day 7: Tamgwmaght – Tigzi
Forge deeper connections with your nomadic family as you hike through the stunning mountainous landscape, engaging in insightful conversations with the guidance of our expert tour leader. Set up camp amidst the verdant beauty of Tigzi, reveling in the tranquility of nature.
Day 8: Tigzi – Lake Izoughar
Embark on a scenic hike through varied landscapes, following the herd and loaded mules. Arrive at the picturesque Izoughar Lake, a serene oasis nestled amidst the mountains. Camp alongside your nomadic companions, savoring the peaceful atmosphere of the plateau.
Day 9: Lake Izoughar – Ikis – Tizi N Tirghist
After breakfast by the lake, trek towards Tizi N Tirghist, offering stunning views of the Ait Bouguemez Valley. Settle into camp just below the pass, reflecting on the adventures of the past days.
Day 10: Tizi N Tirghist – Tamda
On your final day of trekking with the nomadic tribe, journey to the pastures of the Ait Atta tribe. Assist the nomadic family in setting up camp and enjoy a celebratory evening, commemorating the bonds forged during your journey.
Day 11: Tamda – Marrakech
Bid farewell to your nomadic hosts as you journey back to Marrakech, where the bustling energy of civilization awaits. Spend your final night in a Riad, reminiscing on the unforgettable experiences of your trekking adventure.
Day 12: Departure
