11 DAYS TRAVEL ITINERARY MOROCCO

Day 1: Casablanca. Travel from Casablanca to Marrakech

Depending on your arrival we will pick you up at Casablanca airport and start driving for 3 hours via the highway towards Marrakech, Free time to discover the city.

Day 2: Marrakech guided tour – horse carriage tour

At 9 Am our guide will join you in your Riad and start to Visit the most highlight monuments in Marrakech: Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs, the famous Koutoubia Mosque,  the souks of the Medina, the Majorelle Garden

Your guide will give you the best experience in exploring the narrow streets of the old Medina and Djemaa El Fna Square. Night in Marrakech.

Day 3: Travel from Marrakech to Ouarzazate – Take Atlas mountain roads

Morning departure at 8 o’clock from your hotel or Riad in Marrakesh, we drive crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tichka pass, we leave the main road and take a side road to the Telouet Kasbah, which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas, the Glaoui family, which now stands in ruins after the last Pasha fled the country following the departure of the French. From there you continue for lunch at Ait Ben Haddou along the newly asphalted connecting road. This is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, which we visit after lunch, then we carry on the journey to Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Travel from Ouarzazate to Skoura and Boutaghrar off-road – Stop at Rose Valley and Dades valley

After breakfast, we will check out, then visit the cinematographic museum, then leave Ouarzazate towards one of the wonders of southern Morocco, they call it “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs”, which cross 27 km off-road to visit Berber nomads in their caves and partake in a glass of tea with them. After which, we will go through the Valley of the Roses. Drive along the valley to the spectacular valley of Dades where we will have to spend overnight in the hotel.

Day 5 : Todgha gorges walk, travel to Ksah El khorbat – Travel to Merzouga Sahara desert.

Enjoy a little walk around Todgha gorges, one of the best locations for rock climbing in Morocco.  Admire the landscape while heading to Ksar ELkhorbar, where we stop for lunch and an explore visit. 

Explore the Berber museum at El khorbat ksar with a deep look to the architect of the Region as well as their Moroccan handmade art.

 

Admire the different colors of the Sahara dunes while walking to the top of the dunes for the spectacular sunset (250m)

Day 6 : Merzouga and Erg Chebbi Explore- travel to Middle Atlas mountains-  Night in Midelt

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise at the dunes then have breakfast in the camp. There is enough time to enjoy the Sahara desert before driving through the valley of Ziz, Enjoying the landscapes and the canyons along the way. You will leave then for the province of Errachidia via Erfoud to Ziz valley and gorges.

Day 7: Drive from Midelt to Fes –  Guided tour/visit of Fes

By the morning we drive early morning from Midelt. Through hills covered in forests of cork oak and giant cedar, our journey continues towards Ifrane and the Middle Atlas before ending off at Fes.

Afternoon sightseeing tour in Fes, which is the oldest of Morocco’s four “Imperial Cities”. The medieval city of Fes El Bali, or “Old Fes” remains complete and is unspoiled. During your tour of this part of the town, you can visit the exotic Bou Inania Medersa), the Medina, and the Kairaouine Mosque, where you may take photos of the wonderful courtyard from the main gate as well as the famous Souks. In the afternoon you can visit Fes El Jdid, or “New Fes” and the Museum of Moroccan Arts. The night is spent in the Riad.

Day 8 : Travel from Fes to Chefchaoun

We Drive you through the beautiful countryside for 3/4 hours to reach this beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen. Free time to Explore winding lanes and narrow alleys of the city, which is also home to numerous souks offering cuisine and artisan works. Night in Chefchaoun.

In the evening, we invite you to hike for 40 minutes to see the sunset in one of the famous spots in Chefchaouen.

Day 9: Tour Chefchaouen to Akchour waterfalls – back to Chefchaouen

By the morning we will drive for one hour to Akchour waterfalls, one of the most beautiful site and most visited near Chefchaouen, the walk among the beautiful national park of Talassemtane, one of the amazing national parks in the Rif mountains will give you one of the best. By the afternoon we will

be ending the trek. We drive back to Chefchaouen for more free time to enjoy Chefchaouen. Night in Chefchaouen

Day 10: Chefchaouen – Travel to Rabat Moroccan capital

Admire the views of the Rif mountains and the green plains in the countryside, we dive to Rabat, the Moroccan capital where we will stop for the highlight of the city, including the Hassan tower, which stands on the hill overlooking the Wadi Bou Regreg, then we visit the Oudaïa Kasbah which was built by Moulay Ismaïl from 1672-1727 to protect the city also enclosed by ramparts dating from the Almohad period. Drop off at your hotel/ Riad in Rabat.
